Upstock makes it easy for delivery drivers or sales reps to record a proof of delivery on your orders. After you mark an order as Shipped you have the option to mark it as Delivered. Marking as delivered gives you the option to add a photo, a signature, and a name relating to the receipt of the goods, which is then viewable by both you and your customer in the order's timeline.
Tip: This is optional, you don't have to use this status if you aren't actively delivering products yourself.
Mark an order as delivered
Once your order has been shipped you'll see an option to mark it as delivered. When clicked, a window will open which has three tabs:
Photo
Signature
Name
You can choose to simply mark the order as delivered at this point without adding any extra proof of delivery. Or, you can choose to any any combination of the three options - either one, two, or all three of them can be added to an order.
Tip: you can access this from various places in the app: when viewing an individual order, the main orders list, or from Customers > Orders.
Add a photo
You can take a photo of the delivered goods at their destination. Tap the Add photo button and you'll see a pop-up window with various options - these will be different depending on which device you're using. If you're on a mobile device you should be able to either take a photo directly, or upload one from the camera roll.
Record a signature
You can record the signature of the person who received the goods. Tap the Signature tab and draw directly on a mobile device's screen to capture the signature. You can also use a mouse or trackpad if you are using a non-mobile device.
Record a name
You can record the name of the person who received the goods. Tap the Name tab and enter their name and save.
View the proof of delivery on the order
Once you've recorded your proofs of delivery you can view them in the timeline of the order.
Tip: even after the order has been marked as delivered you can still use the comment section to upload photos and make notes about the order.
