Minimum order values

You can set a minimum order value, so orders are large enough to be worth the time and effort to fulfil.

Setting a minimum order value

First you’ll need some prices! If you haven’t already done so, set up your price lists.

Next, go to Settings › Fulfilment groups › choose your group and enter your minimum. This is the order total excluding GST.

Fulfilment groups is a new feature that is not yet on general release. We expect to release it to all users in early June 2024. In the mean time you can find this setting in the Order settings.

Tip: in order to set a minimum order value you must show prices to all customers. If you select a minimum value here then that will be automatically enabled. You can find that setting in Settings > Order settings > Show prices.

How does it work?

Customers are prevented from placing an order under your minimum value.

If you’d prefer to let customers place smaller orders, consider using an order note instead. You can include the details in your order note and it won't block customers from ordering.

Order notes are also a good way to communicate complex minimum requirements, such as minimum quantities for different product types.

What will my customers see?

Your customers will see your minimum when they go to order. If you have no minimum, they'll also be made aware of this.

If a customer is under the minimum when they go to check out, they'll be asked to review their order.
