There are a few options for managing users and accounts, this article will give you an overview of what to do next. There are two different types of accounts in Upstock:

  • User access: this is an individual person's login, which they can use to access one or more business accounts - e.g. Jane Smith, who has access to three different business accounts in Upstock.

  • Business (or company) account: this is the Upstock account for the business - e.g. Restless Bagels. This account can have multiple users able to log in to it.

Add and remove team members

The Team menu option at the left of the page allows you to add and remove team members from your business account.

Tip: It's a good idea to remove the team member whenever someone leaves your business. It won't remove their access to Upstock in general, just access to your business account.

You'll find more detailed information about managing user access to features in these articles for Suppliers and Buyers.

Remove your access to a single business account

If you no longer want to have access to a single business account, then you can either ask another person from your company to remove your access from the Team page, or you can chat with our team who can do that for you.

Remove your access to all of Upstock

If you no longer want to have access to any Upstock accounts, then you can ask our team to remove your user access. You will no longer be able to log in to any Upstock business accounts, but you can always sign up again at any point in the future.

Cancel and remove the business account

Our team can cancel the business account for you. There are a few things to note:

  • It might be better to downgrade to a Free Plan - that way you're still connected to your customers and discoverable in the marketplace, you can manage your products, and still receive orders via email

  • If you are cancelling a paid plan you need to give us 30 days notice, so please be aware there will be a final invoice to pay

  • Any outstanding invoices will need to be settled

Transfer the business account to another person

If you've sold the business and they want to keep using Upstock, just have a quick chat with our team to arrange the transfer of ownership. For paid plans the points above about notice and invoices apply here too.

Changing plans

We can upgrade your plan so you can access more features. Check out this page for details.
