There are a few options for managing users and accounts, this article will give you an overview of what to do next. There are two different types of accounts in Upstock, user accounts (the individual person), and business accounts (the company).

User account

Remove your access to a single business account

If you no longer want to have access to a single business account, then you can either ask another person from your company to remove your access from the Team page, or you can chat with our team who can do that for you.

Remove your access to all of Upstock

If you no longer want to have access to any Upstock accounts, then you can ask our team to remove your user access. You will no longer be able to log in to any Upstock business accounts, but you can always sign up again at any point in the future.

Business account

Add and remove team members

The Team menu option at the left of the page allows you to add and remove team members from your business account.

Tip: It's a good idea to remove the team member whenever someone leaves your business. It won't remove their access to Upstock in general, just access to your business account.

Changing plans and add-ons

We can upgrade your plan so you can access more features. Check out this page for details and chat to us to make the change.

Add-ons are little paid extras that you can add and remove from your account, like offering Free Samples. If you'd like to add or remove an Add-on, just chat with the team.

Change your billing details

Go to the Settings > Plans & pricing page to see details about which plan (and add-ons) you have. You'll also see your payment method and invoice email, which you can change by clicking on the red 'change' links.

Cancel and remove the business account

If you're a supplier and thinking of cancelling your plan, it might be better to downgrade to a Free Plan - that way you're still connected to your customers and discoverable in the marketplace, you can manage your products, and still receive orders via email. Chat with us about your options.

You can cancel the business plan at the bottom of the Plans & pricing page by clicking the Cancel plan button. Once the pop-up window opens, click on the box at the top and then Cancel subscription.

If you are cancelling a paid plan you need to give us 30 days notice, so please be aware there will be a final invoice to pay, and any outstanding invoices prior to cancelling will need to be settled

Transfer the business account to another person

If you've sold the business and they want to keep using Upstock, just have a quick chat with our team to arrange the transfer of ownership. For paid plans the points above about notice and invoices apply here too.

Common Questions

What should I do if a team member doesn’t receive their email invitation?

  • Double-check that their email address was entered correctly.

  • Ask them to check their spam or junk folder.

  • If needed, resend the invitation from the Team section of your dashboard.

  • Still no luck? Contact Upstock customer support for further assistance.

I used to have the "Owner" role, but now it just says "Full" - what changed?

We’ve simplified our user roles by removing the "Owner" role. Now, everyone with full permissions is simply listed as having Full access. The key functions previously tied to the Owner role—such as receiving notifications about bounced invoice emails—are now handled through our Notifications. You can update these by clicking your name in the bottom-left menu and selecting Notification settings.
