To get the most out of the Email Orders feature, it helps to understand how the AI suggestions work.
The suggestions depend on the product codes a customer uses in their email. Let’s take a look at the different scenarios…
Exact match on product code
If the customer uses the exact product codes you have in Upstock, then these products be automatically added to the order. All you need to do is check the details are correct.
Customer product codes
If the customer uses their own product codes, you’ll be asked to match these to your products in Upstock.
You only need to do this once. Upstock will remember the mapping for the next time the customer orders. An indicator will show you which customer code is mapped to each product.
If you’ve matched the wrong product, just select a different one. The new mapping will be saved.
No product codes used
If the customer doesn't specify any product codes (just product names), then no product will be suggested. You’ll need to manually select the products for each time they order.
How prices work
Unlike products and quantities, prices are not suggested from the purchase order, as these can often be out-of-date. When an order is created, prices are set using the price list in Upstock for this customer.
If the prices on the order don't match the emailed purchase order, a warning will be shown. You can adjust the price to match the purchase order, update the customer's price list, or leave the price as is. The action you take depends on which source of prices is correct.
