Upstock offers a number of integrations. However, if you’d like to integrate with an app that isn’t directly supported, webhooks may help.

What are webhooks?

Webhooks are a way to send information between apps when an event occurs.

In Upstock, when an order is created or updated, the order data is sent. This could then be used to automate a task in another app, like raising an invoice or updating inventory.

Getting set up

While Upstock webhooks make your order data available, you still need to do something useful with it. This part of the integration is usually done by a third party developer.

What's involved will vary depending on the app you’re integrating with and what you want to do with the data.

If you’re working with a third party to set up the integration, you may want to invite them to your Upstock account. This will give them access to manage webhooks.

Case study

Some of our suppliers have employed development company Apikle to integrate Upstock with Dear Inventory.

When an order is placed by a customer using Upstock, a purchase is automatically created in Dear.

Although there is a cost with building the integration, the suppliers cut admin time and avoid mistakes by not having to re-key orders.
