Each of your products has a base price. This is the normal price of the product, before any discount is applied. Price lists use this as a starting point. You can then apply different discounts of each price list.

Updating base prices

If the cost to supply a product changes, you may want to edit its base price. You can do this by going to products › edit product

How does this affect price lists?

When you update a base price, all of your price lists will be automatically updated. Discounts will still apply, but the final price will change.

To understand how price lists are affected, it’s helpful to look at an example.

In this example, the base price is updated. This changes the final price shown on each price list. Note how the different types of discount shown and how this affects the final price.
